Myofunctional therapy is a simple, non-invasive treatment that helps improve the way your mouth and face muscles work. It focuses on correcting habits like improper swallowing, mouth breathing, and poor posture. By strengthening and re-training these muscles, myofunctional therapy can help you breathe better, sleep more soundly, increase daytime energy and reduce pain from issues like jaw tension. Whether you're dealing with snoring, teeth grinding, or other muscle-related concerns, myofunctional therapy can help you feel better and live more comfortably.
Take control of your health with myofunctional therapy! If you or your child struggle with mouth breathing, poor sleep, daytime fatigue, or difficulty focusing, now is the time to act. By retraining the muscles of the tongue and airway, myofunctional therapy helps you breathe, sleep, and feel better—naturally.

Empowering Health Through Better Breathing – Our mission is to help individuals achieve optimal health by addressing the root causes of breathing dysfunction, poor sleep, and orofacial imbalances through personalized myofunctional therapy. We are committed to improving lives by promoting proper airway function, proper posture, better sleep, and overall well-being.
We help kids and adults improve breathing, sleep, posture, and overall health by retraining the muscles of the mouth, face, and body. Our unique approach combines myofunctional therapy (tongue and mouth exercises) with physical therapy (posture and breathing training) to address issues like snoring, TMJ pain, mouth breathing, and more.
Building consistent habits is key to achieving the goals of myofunctional therapy and ensuring those benefits stick around for the long haul.

From Physical Therapy to Myofunctional Therapy: A Holistic Approach to Health
With my wife being an airway-focused dentist, we began looking deeper into how oral development, tongue posture, and airway health were affecting our children. Together, we saw firsthand how myofunctional therapy and airway dentistry work hand in hand to improve breathing, sleep, and overall well-being. Once we addressed these underlying issues, the improvements were life-changing.
In addition to my physical therapy background, I’ve pursued advanced training to specialize in this field, completing certifications with the Institute of Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy, MyoMentor, and the Vivos Institute. This combination of training and experience has allowed me to integrate myofunctional therapy with physical therapy in a way that addresses breathing, posture, and overall body function.
One of the biggest transformations we saw in our own children was in daytime energy and learning ability. When breathing improves, the brain gets the oxygen it needs for focus, memory, and emotional regulation. Many of the challenges we thought were unrelated—like difficulty in school and behavioral struggles—were actually rooted in poor sleep and airway issues.
For the past 25 years, I have worked as a physical therapist, helping people move, function, and feel better. My career has been dedicated to understanding posture, muscle imbalances, and movement patterns to improve overall health. But my journey into myofunctional therapy became deeply personal when I started noticing unexplained struggles in my own children.
My four kids dealt with daytime fatigue, depression, bed-wetting, snoring, trouble focusing in school, behavioral challenges, and even ADHD diagnoses. As a parent, I was searching for answers, wanting to help them thrive. That’s when I discovered the critical connection between breathing, tongue posture, and overall health.
Proper breathing doesn’t just impact kids—it has far-reaching benefits for adults as well. By improving breathing habits, we can prevent serious conditions like cardiovascular disease, diabetes, obesity, hypertension, dementia, and chronic fatigue. Proper breathing helps maintain heart health, balanced hormones, energy levels, and overall vitality.
Now, I specialize in helping children and adults improve oral function, breathing, and posture—leading to better sleep, reduced pain, and long-term health benefits.
If you or your child are struggling with mouth breathing, TMJ discomfort, tongue-tie, sleep disturbances, or ADHD-like symptoms, I’d love to help you find the root cause and work toward lasting solutions.
